Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a stately charm that makes you feel a bit special, but noise from guests outside rooms can be disruptive at night. The rooms are comfortable, and the location in the stunning Suffolk Countryside is fabulous. The dining experience is mixed, with some highlights but also a bit pricey.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, with a cozy mattress that made for a pleasant sleep. I did find the room a bit chilly initially, but the plug-in heater provided in the wardrobe made a significant difference and improved the coziness. The overall spaciousness and lovely design of the room, including a comfortable bed and a nice sitting area, added to my relaxation. The service was impeccable, with a very helpful and motivated staff who were attentive and friendly throughout my stay. The location was amazing, offering lovely surroundings, beautiful gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the well-kept landscapes, despite some minor surprises like an abandoned tennis court. The dining experience was delightful, with excellent food quality that stood out, especially the beef. Although I missed trying the restaurant's offerings due to a wedding, the food at the event was equally impressive. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers a large and magnificent room beautifully decorated and very comfortable, but lacks a fridge and daily provision of fresh milk. The service is top-notch with polite and helpful staff. The location is beautiful, although there are some abandoned areas on the property. The dining experience was good but had some room for improvement, and the facilities were generally well-maintained.
